Description

[Social Practice Program] You draw in the light of your experiences. Altered or new experiences can change the way you see and think. This will change your drawing. Experience will enrich your practice as an artist whether you are committed to animation, illustration, painting, fiber, design or another territory of materials and history. We will come together as an interdisciplinary community to explore drawing as a perceptual, photographic, conceptual, or dimensional process. We will use traditional materials, printed collage, and monotypes, sewing and fabric, photography, laser cutting and packing tape! The course will be divided into four 4-week sessions each one approaching drawing from a new vantage point. The last session will be your final project and you will be encouraged to approach the question of drawing from your point of interest and to use the processes or materials you need. This could include making animations, zines, graphic works, collage, sound or mark making. Let’
