Description
The development of skills related to reading, understanding, and the discussing the ideas and issues underlying contemporary sculpture are emphasized within this course. The professional practice seminar concentrates on building and articulating effective artist statements, résumés, and visual portfolios. Professional awareness will also be evaluated regarding proper and safe use of the sculpture equipment and facility while skills dealing with digital technologies for documenting and disseminating artworks are introduced. Students engaged in active and reflective inquiry about their lives as future artists and designers after undergraduate school will also be covered. Participation in department exhibitions and critiques will also be evaluated.
