Description

This course explores color through printmaking methods. Students will learn about color systems, the history and materiality of color, how color is perceived and how color tells its own story in conjunction with other elements of image-making. A range of printmaking techniques will focus on pigments and inks, layering of imagery, color viscosity printing, and other printmaking systems that utilize color in unique ways. This class is an advanced printmaking elective and students must have some familiarity with printmaking processes already through at least one printmaking class already taken at KCAI.
