Description

The poster was one of the earliest forms of visual communication that impacted how ideas were spread. By nature, they needed to be bold and graphic and express concepts clearly and succinctly. In this class, we will learn about the use of the poster through various cultures and movements while learning the basics of letterpress printing to create a series of poster prints. This will begin with typesetting and hand-carved linocut blocks and will later incorporate lasercut and routered techniques in creating a printable matrix.
