Description
[Sound minor] In this introductory course, we will read and write poetry, exploring various aspects of poetic technique, including imagery, metaphor, line, stanza, music, rhythm, diction, and tone. We will examine a number of poetic traditions, study poetry’s place in culture and society, and through journaling, intensive writing experiments, revision work, and peer critique, develop a substantial body of original work.
