Description
Students will develop their skills in character development in relation to the medium of animation. The focus will go deeper than the outward appearance of a character, and include character driven narrative strategies and the development of fictional personalities informed by backstory and internal and external stimuli. Various approaches to character development, including stylistic iteration, will be explored through lecture, readings and exercises.
