[Ancient/Medieval] We explore the unprecedented development of Archaic and Classical Greek sculpture and the powerful political, social, and economic forces behind it. Greek perceptions of gender (Amazons, Medusa, and more) and the development of “The Other” (the barbaric enemy) lead to a greater understanding of the powerful imagery of this art.
