Description
[G/C; Asian Studies minor] In this course we will examine art produced in India, China and Japan from prehistoric to modern times. Painting, prints, ceramics, sculpture and architecture will be examined both chronologically and thematically, noting the spread of various styles throughout India, China, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia. We will take into consideration the various social, religious and cultural contexts under which the art was produced.
