Description

[Animation majors only] Compositing is a key step in the post-production process for animation, in which artists combine a variety of visual elements to create a cohesive final image. Compositing also adds mood and atmosphere through lighting, color correction, blurs, and visual effects. In this class, students will learn foundational and professional compositing techniques that can be applied to all mediums of animation, including 2D, 3D, and mixed media. This course will primarily focus on compositing in Adobe After Effects, but students will explore a variety of industry standard programs and workflows to develop an understanding of the professional tools available to them.
