[Contemporary; Social Practice minor] This course focuses on the artistic practice of institutional critique. We will study the development of institutional critique from the 1960s to the present. We will examine a range of strategies that artists have used to challenge aesthetic and cultural hierarchies and to comment on systems and structures of power.
